The Team Purpose:
The Economic Justice campaign and advocacy
team’s purpose is to lead and provide support to Oxfam’s campaigns and policy
work to maximize the impact of its work at local, and national levels.

The job purpose:
Lead the development and delivery of Oxfam’s national campaign based on national and
sectoral priorities, with strong links to Oxfam’s global campaign, especially
the on-going Oxfam’s global food justice campaign (GROW) whose particular focus
on agriculture and climate change.

Key responsibilities:
You will responsibility to the campaign strategy and delivery of the Economic Justice
Campaign Strategy, advocacy and actively lobbying in line with the objectives
of the campaign, provide support to campaign partners and allies. To develop and maintain relationships with
key national actors (CSOs, Government, UN, Donors, private sector, Media) in
Indonesia and to promote joint action on Economic Justice campaign work where
appropriate. To build the
capacity of national and regional organizations to engage with policy-making
processes of economic justice through managing grant allocations to partners,
networking and facilitating their access to OI campaigns and policy resources. To ensure that the Indonesia is
contributing in an innovative and effective way to the development and delivery
of the regional and the global campaign, including representing the country to
Oxfam International’s regional and global project groups. Actively support
fundraising efforts to implement agreed campaign strategies and plans.

The requirement:
We are looking for a candidate who have a
post graduate degree in economics and development. Proven experience and understanding of international
development issues, understanding  of
micro and macro economic policy issues that affect poverty and inequality in
Indonesia. Proven experience of policy analysis and advocacy
work and ability to negotiate and agree policy positions amongst different
stakeholders. Proven experience and knowledge of economic justice issues in
Indonesia, with an ability to draw on globally relevant skills and experiences
in areas on trade, agriculture and climate change.Proven
experience of developing, negotiating and agreeing campaign strategies with
partners and alliances, with demonstrable skills in planning and implementing
campaign strategies. Good insight
and contacts with major actors on Economic Justice issues (CSOs, NGOs, Trade
unions, journalists, Govt, Private sector). Ability to prioritize,
plan and organize work in a complex institutional setting. Excellent
communication skills for lobbying and media work. Ability to communicate
complex issues in a clear manner. Proven record of development of staff and
partners advocacy and policy skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to
work well and flexibly in hard-working, multi-disciplinary teams based at
different locations.
Ability to work on
own initiative, manage complex workloads and deliver outputs to agreed
deadlines. Demonstrated competencies in fundraising, financial management of
large budgets and  reporting. Demonstrable
understanding and experience of gender and diversity issues and proven
commitment to and evidence of promoting gender and diversity equity.
Fluency in written
and spoken English is essential.
